A Journey of Faith, Education, and Devotion to Spiritual Leadership
Pastor Toby grew up in Pretoria, where he attended St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arcadia. After completing an honours degree in Ancient Languages and Cultures from the University of Pretoria in 2005, he married his wife, Walda, and they relocated to Germany to further his theological studies at the Lutherische Theologische Hochschule in Oberursel.
At the end of 2007 they moved to England, were he completed his theological education at Westfield House, Cambridge. In 2010, Toby and Walda returned to South Africa, where Toby served his vicarage at St Peter’s Lutheran Congregation, Durban-Westville.
On 24 July 2011, he was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry, and has since then served as the pastor of the English Lutheran Fellowship in Randburg, Johannesburg.
