Embodying Lutheran Heritage through Academic Pursuit and Pastoral Care
I am Christian Eugen Straeuli (7/31/89). I grew up in the St Paul’s Congregation (Pretoria). From 2009-2011 I studied at the University of Pretoria and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (History of Ancient cultures and Languages).
In 2012-2018 the next step was to go to Oberursel (Germany) and study at the Lutheran Theological University. I completed my basic studies there in February 2014 and my masters-studies in February 2018. During that time (August 2014 – May 2015) I also studied for a year at the LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) seminary in St Louis, and in Berlin (October 2015 – February 2016). On the 16th of February of this year 2020, I got ordained as a pastor and started my work here in in Greytown.
