A Brief History of DELC

The DELC (Diepkloof Evangelical Lutheran Church) was established on 18 September 2016 by the grace of our Lord. After the necessary processes, the congregation officially joined FELSISA in 2018.

As a new congregation, DELC has not yet been able to build its own church building. Currently, services are held in rented school classrooms on a monthly basis. Despite these challenges, the congregation has successfully elected a Church Council responsible for coordinating the life of the church in collaboration with the pastor(s).

Future Plans and Current Status

DELC is actively seeking to purchase a property that can be renovated to accommodate the congregation’s needs. At present, the church is in a phase of survival, striving to establish a stable foundation and seeking a full-time pastor to engage with and support the congregation in daily activities.
