Mission Statement

Strictly speaking all Christians share the same mission as set out in various passages of Scripture, in particular the Great Commission of Christ [Matthew 28:19-20]:

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Based on its core values, however, each church develops its own focus, unique style and vision.

Mission implies a church in motion – moving forward.

  • We do so TRUSTING the promises of God’s Word alone and faithfully proclaiming the Cross of Christ.
  • As we eagerly share God’s grace, we joyfully WELCOME all people into our fellowship.
  • As members of God’s family we equip all to share God’s grace with others and as such heartily CARE for the world.

The “Mission Statement” of the FELSISA is captured in the phrase:

Moving Forward with Christ.

Trusting, Welcoming, Caring
