Installation of Dr Heinz Hiestermann at LTS

On Sunday Septuagesimae (9 February 2020), Rev. John Nkambule and Dr Heinz Hiestermann were installed as full-time lecturers of the Lutheran Theological Seminary Tshwane (LTS).

The installation took place during a combined service of the German, Afrikaans and English congregations of Arcadia, Pretoria. The service was led by Pastors Kurt Böhmer and Mar-tin Paul. Officiating at the installation were Bishops Reinstorf (FELSISA) and Maragelo (LCSA) along with Rector Walter Winterle of the LTS.

In his installation address, Bishop Maragelo referred to the apostle Paul who was bringing the message of grace to both Greeks and Jews. Following the example of the apostle Paul, we are training young men at the LTS as pastors and missionaries, so that they are equipped to proclaim the message of God’s grace to all people for their salvation.

After expecting 3-4 new students at the seminary this year, there are a total of 14 first-year students in 2020! We pray that God will bless these students as they prepare for various roles in their churches. Please also keep the seminary in your prayers always.
