Installation of Pastor Andreas Albers

On Sunday, the 6th of October 2019 at 14:00 a very special service was held in the Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wartburg.

It was the installation of the new pastor, Andreas Albers, into his very first congregation. The service was led by the Bishop, Dr Dieter Reinstorf, assisted by Pastors emeritus S. Köhne and C. Johannes. Pastor Nkosi of the Pella congregation was also in attendance.

Although it was considered by many to be the hottest day of the year so far, the service was well attended by both congregants and visitors, not the least of whom were Maria and Benjamin, Pastor Albers’ wife and son. After the service, welcome refreshments were served to all in attendance.

We wish Pastor Albers and the congregation all the very best and God’s guidance for the future.

Steve Love, Wartburg (Our Saviour Kirchenvorsteher)

Ordination of Vicar Andreas Albers

The Lord of the Harvest Himself has once again richly blessed our Synod, by sending out yet another candidate into the Holy Ministry! It was indeed a wonderful occasion, as on Sunday the 28th July 2019 the ordination of Vicar Andreas Albers took place at Kirchdorf. Visitors from far and wide (including family members from Germany) were present as Albers was ordained into the Holy Ministry by Bishop Dr Dieter Reinstorf, assisted by Pastors Matthias Albers and Helmut Straeuli. Words of blessing were also spoken over the newly-ordained by fellow Pastors Klaus-Eckart Damaske, Dr Heinz Hiestermann, Chris Johannes, Roland Johannes, Kurt Schnackenberg, Christoph Weber, and Dr Walter Winterle.

On 1st September, Pastor Andreas Albers was called by the Our Saviour Congregation, Wartburg. May his ministry be a blessed one!
