15 Years Mini Youth at Our Saviour

Mini Youth at Our Saviour Congregation

It’s the highlight of every month, as well over 30 kids between the ages of 7 and 13 storm into the churchyard at Our Saviour in Wartburg to enjoy another “Mini Youth.”

Started 15 years ago by members of the fledgeling Our Saviour congregation, the event has grown into a fixture for kids from the entire district. They don’t want to miss it for the world!

Mini Youth in Our Saviour CongregationAfter 30 minutes of fun and games, the kids sit down in the church hall for a Bible Study (held by the “driving force” behind all of this – Edeltraut Johannes). Then everyone tucks into hamburgers or hot dogs (lovingly prepared each time by our caterers Steve and Rose Love). By 19:30 the kids are ready (but certainly not willing!) to go home again – full of good memories, Bible verses, and great food!

Most of the children are not from the FELSISA. Quite a few of them are completely unchurched. There is even a little Hindu boy who comes every time! What an opportunity to bring Christ to these kids – and by that hopefully also to their parents and families.

In November 2018, Mini Youth celebrated its 15th anniversary. 15 years of mission work, for which we thank our Heavenly Father! May the coming 15 years be just as blessed.
