Ordination of Vicar Marlon Hiestermann

Ordination of Vicar Marlon Hiestermann

The Ordination of Vicar Marlon Hiestermann took place on 21 January in Durban-Westville.

It was a special day for Vicar Hiestermann, since it was also the occasion of the Baptism of his daughter, Maira.

In the presence of eleven FELSISA and LCSA pastors and a large congregation, Bishop Dr Reinstorf ordained Vicar Hiestermann, assisted by pastors Helmut Straeuli and Kurt Schnackenberg. Afterwards, the freshly ordained pastor held the sermon on Revelation 1:17-18: Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

The synodical council has placed Pastor Hiestermann in the vacant Uelzen Congregation – in August 2018 the congregation is expected to issue a divine call. We wish him and his family God’s blessings and guidance for the work in His kingdom.
