The last meeting between FELSISA and NELCSA

After a break of more than 18 months due to COVID-19, the theological task group of the FELSISA and NELCSA met in Kirchdorf on 10 June 2021.

All members of the task group were present: Drs Karl Böhmer and Heinz Hiestermann (FELSISA) and Pastors Udo Lütge and Hugo Filter (NELCSA).

At this meeting, the topic of hermeneutics was discussed for the last time. This topic is about how we understand the Bible, how we deal with its content, what role it plays for us, what authority it has for us etc.

The representatives of both churches plan to prepare a document on their respective positions on hermeneutics, so that both the similarities and differences between the positions of the churches can be clarified.

We thank the NELCSA for their willingness to walk this path with us.
