Teenage Camp 2023

Nicole Meister, Kirchdorf

What a wonderful weekend! The annual teen camp was held at Wag-‘n-Bietjie Camp in Pretoria and was an exciting and fun time where we met new people and were fortunate enough to learn about God’s Word. The theme of the teen camp was stewardship, where we were taught how to be custodians and caretakers of God’s Word and the importance of His Word in our lives. We also spent a lot of time on the volleyball field and rounders pitch, which was a lot of fun but left us sunburnt by the end of it. A difficult obstacle course almost pushed us to our limits, but we still had a lot of fun. We were able to sing about everything we learnt in the presentations in the songs, which we rehearsed diligently during choir practice and then sang to the praise and glory of our Lord on Sunday at the ELC in Arcadia.

We thank the pastors Andreas Albers and Martin K. Paul for all their time and effort put into the presentations and Bible studies, and Angelika Johannes for all her effort with the music. We greatly appreciate the good hospitality and the delicious food provided by the women of the Pretoria congregation. Many thanks also to the teenage parents, Dieter and Ronelie Prigge for a wonderful camp. Uncle Dieter’s cheerful trumpet playing called us together several times a day and we are still happy about Aunt Ronelie’s improvised volleyball rules. We never want to miss such a great camp!
